Stich The Summer Olympics: Day Five

Well here we are at Day 5.  I've been doing pretty good with keeping up with my plan.  Today the theme is Swimming and objective was to stitch something with water.  Romy's Creations just posted this freebie not too long ago, and I thought it would be perfect.  If all goes well, I'll finish it into an ornament for my DIL for Christmas...she loves the beach!  Here is Take Me To The Beach, stitched on 28 count white over one.

I thought I would have a busy week, but it turns out I had to cancel the appointments for the rest of the week.  DH tested positive for Covid, and now I have the same symptoms.  NOT FUN!!  So thankfully my DIL texted and asked how we were doing and they graciously made arrangements to bring us some groceries, some cat food (Max would have run out by tomorrow), and a meal for us tonight.  Luckily I was able to stitch (and watch the Olympics) and finish today's project.  I'm not sure what the plan is for tomorrow...but I'll probably catch up on some sleeping.  My voice has taken a hike and I have a fever which brings a headache and that floating feeling that comes with it...hopefully it will pass soon!  Wish me luck and if all goes well, I'll see you back here tomorrow night with more stitching to report!  Happy Stitching (and stay healthy!!!).

Love the beach stitch, DJ. I am sorry about the canceled appointments and sorry you both are dealing with Covid symptoms. Praying for a speedy recovery. Thinking of you.

Oh no! Not Covid. Hope you both have a mild case and feel better soon. Hubby and I were just talking about when we should get out next booster. We'll be traveling to Sicily in late September so figured we'd best get a booster sometime this month so it has time to be fully protective before we go. Cute little stitching, it will make a nice ornament.
