What are you Thankful for?

It's been a wild ride this year, hasn't it?  In some ways, I have a little survivors guilt.  Our lives haven't changed as much as some have and I'm truly grateful.  Sometimes fears rear their ugly heads, especially when our son and his lovely bride worked while some were forced to stay home.  Still...there were wonderful things that happened this year.  Our son was finally married once restrictions were lifted, and their wedding day was beautiful!  I seriously cried most of the day out of sheer joy (and maybe a little relief...haha).  It brings me such joy to see them both so happy.  I'm thankful for the health of my loved ones and myself.  We are fortunate that we have remained well.  I'm thankful for my loving husband who continues to provide and take care of me...he truly is a blessing.  I'm thankful for zoom, that allows us to reach out to church members and stitching pals.  What a blessing that has been to keep us in contact with others!  I'm thankful for my years of stashing things away in my stitching hoard.  LOL  I haven't run out of things to stitch yet!  I'm sure most of us can find some things that were a blessing and something to be thankful for even during a pandemic.  So, even though we might be separated from our friends and family over the holidays, even though the state of the world seems a little fragile right now, we can still ponder the good things that have happened and give thanks.  I'm wishing all my friends and family, both near and far, a wonderful, peaceful, and blessed Thanksgiving.  Keep the faith...and Happy Stitching!

I think it is important to count our blessings where we can.
Hopefully things will improve for your country next year too.
And a successful wedding was definitely the high spot of your year!

Wow DJ. Your entire post could have been written by me! Except I did not cry all day at our son's wedding. Ha ha! Just during the ceremony. ;) Seriously, everything is spot on!

Wonderful post. We feel the same way. Yeah our travels were affected badly. My husband actually got hours that he always has wanted and a very nice pay raise during this whole craziness. We felt bad being thankful for how it affected his job. We've stayed healthy. Have family who has caught it but they are all okay which I'm so thankful for. Finally finding the excuse to take better care of myself is something I really surprised to be thankful for this year haha. I can't believe I've lost almost 19 pounds. More to come. I'm also thankful for my blog friends....including you. Stay healthy.
