February Gifted Gorgeousness

Thanks for visiting!  I have a confession to make....I've been stitching, but sadly I can't show all of my Gifted Gorgeousness stitching because they are gifts!  If you haven't heard of Gifted Gorgeousness, head on over to Jo's blog, Serendipitous Stitching to see what it's all about!  You can sign up to participate and see the rules here.  Or you can go here and see what everyone has been stitching.  Basically, we showcase here what we have been stitching that is associated with a gift.  It can be a stitched gift of fabric, floss, pattern or finished piece that has been given to us, or something that we stitched for someone else.  I have a few irons in the fire that I'm stitching for others that can't be shown just yet, but I will post them as soon as I can.  Thank you for organizing this, Jo!  You make blogging fun!!

What I can show you is a piece that I started MANY years ago, but never finished.  I had to personalize it then finish it into a stand up.  The person it was for was our Pastor's wife who had just returned from a missions trip to Kenya where our church had sponsored them to go and build a well and work on their church building.  While I couldn't go with them, I helped organize a fund raiser to help fund the trip.  This is a pattern by Little House Needleworks that was posted to raise funds for a charity as well.  I think it has since been taken down.

I haven't had much chance to stitch on the Marie Antionette piece by Chatelaine, but here is a little more than what I had posted last time.  This was an anniversary gift from my husband.

That's all that I'm able to show you now....hopefully next time I'll have a bit more.  Thanks for stopping by!

I sometimes find I can't share gifts until a month later but that does mean there is so nothing ready hee hee. That's a lovely LHN chart.

Good luck with all your gift stitching. Your finish is fantastic. Great job with it.

Lovely stitching! It is frustrating when you can't show things isn't it?

The Secret Projects get really bad around Christmas! It's kind of amusing how sparse posts get around gifts. That's a very sweet LHN design with both countries represented.

That is the only downside to GG! Thanks for finding something to take part with this month though. I love that LHN piece, it was perfect for the Africa project.
Nice work on the Chatelaine too.
