Praying for my son's friend T...
It is with a heavy heart I write this post, but I know many of you who read my blog will help me pray for T. This young man is only 14 and was diagnosed with Leukemia yesterday. I've known him a long time, and he has been a friend of my son's for several years. He's had sleep overs at my house, we've taken him to hockey games and he has co-taught Vacation Bible School with my son. He's got a great sense of humor and a loving character and I admire him greatly. T stopped me in the hallway at church shortly after he learned I had breast cancer and asked how I was and told me he was praying for me. He was 13 at the time. No other teen at church did that, he is just that kind and caring. And now he's facing 6 months in the hospital enduring treatment. I don't know why bad things happen to good people, but I do know that God can use bad things to make good things happen. Please join me in praying for T. God gave me this verse this morning...

God bless you, T, and may His angels surround you.
I am always so saddened to hear this type of news. T and his family and friends will be in my prayers.
Poor little fellow. I have a friend whose son, about the same age, is going through this. He's still alive, hanging in there, 1 1/2 more hears of chemo to go, but holding his own. Take heart. They're finding better treatment all the time, and God can do miracles.
The pastor and his wife who have the teen with leukemia is Dave and Patty Baker:

Bless his heart! Of course I'll pray. Keep us up to date!!
T will be remembered in my daily prayers! Wish bad things didn't happen to good people but they do and God does use all things for good ultimately. That Bible verse you quoted is so dear to me. You know silver is refined by fire to get the impurities out. The refiner knows when the silver is purified by seeing his reflection in the silver. Something to contemplate isn't it.
So much cancer! So much sickness! As soon as I read about T, I thought how blessed he is to have a friend who has a mom like you. You have lifted the spirits of so many during your own struggle and I know you will be there to help him if he starts to lose his way. God bless you, DJ, as you do this and God bless T as he walks where he's never walked before.
