Here we go again...lol

Hi folks!  Sorry it took so long to update, it's been a wild ride.  We never lost power, but I ended up with the flu starting on Friday and I was flat out by Saturday.  I don't think I was awake for more than a few hours all day, most of the day was spent sleeping.  Since last Saturday, I've lost 6 pounds...not fun...lol.  I think I'm finally back to eating normal meals now...haha.  We did get several inches (I am not sure how much, 4-5 is my guess) with a nice inch or so coating of ice.  It was a mess to clean up, though I was too sick to help out.  Thankfully our neighbors took pity on Mike and gave him a hand.  So we are cleared out for now just in time for the bomb cyclone headed this way this weekend.  I'm feeling a little better today, though a little shaky, so begged off when the kids asked me to watch Miss Q.

For the first time in 1421 days (almost 4 years) I didn't stitch on Saturday.  I couldn't stay awake, or hold a hoop.  I barely stitched on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.  Gotta be honest, I'm sad I broke my streak.  Yesterday was the first day I actually made any progress stitching...and have nearly finished off a page from Let Freedom Ring by Lila's Studio.  Sorry it's so dark.

I'm hoping to finish off this page (not much left to do in all honesty) then I'll get back to Hummingbird's Garden.  I won't be able to finish this "Blessing Sampler" by the end of the month so already my yearly plans have gone belly up.  As I've said before...we make plans and God laughs.  So I hope this isn't an omen of how this year will go...haha.  I'm learning to roll with the punches.  Ok, I've been fed and watered, done my daily Sodoku, prayed for those who are sick, without power, and for our country as a whole...it's time to stitch!  Who's with me?  Happy Stitching!

Stitching!🙋🏻‍♀️last week when I was feeling terrible, I didn't stitch for 4 days. It's good that you're on the mend. Gosh, I really think you'll be done with Let Freedom Ring way before Independence Day! It's looking awesome🥰

I am glad you are beginning to feel better, DJ. Continue to take it easy and listen to your body when it says to rest. I know some who have had the flu or whatnot and have had relapses because they didn't listen to their bodies. Okay, soapbox away! Let Freedom Ring is looking fabulous. Have a relaxing weekend!

Beautiful stitching. Sorry you ruined your long run, that's quite a feat. The flu, Covid, stomach bug and other germs going round are really hitting people hard. My daughter who never gets sick was off work almost a whole week. That's truly unheard of for her. She said she felt like someone had run over her in a large truck. Hope you're doing better now; but don't over due. Gonna do some more visiting of blogs, then take a break and do some stitching. Currently working on an afghan. Stitch away and take care.

Greetings DJ: I am so sorry you were so ill, I hope you will fully recover very soon, so sorry for the late comment.
Let Freedom Ring is so beautiful and such a large Sampler.
You are so lucky to have such kind neighbors to help Mike out, we are also Blessed to have great neighbors. We have not had much snow since Chr
since the beginning of January.
We have been in the sub-zero temps, today 18 which felt like a heat wave, warmer all week into the 20s-30.
You had such an amazing streak going, we Pray three times a day for people who are ill and need Prayers.
I am looking forward to seeing your next project and the finishing of Let Freedom Ring.

Hugs
Catherine
